7058 95 Highway Radium Hot Springs, British Columbia V0A 1M0

$3,350,000

Radius Retreat is the product of nearly a decade of thoughtful building, yurt by yurt and trail by trail, into one of the best-known tourist and retreat destinations in the Columbia Valley. Set on 473 acres just minutes north of Radium Hot Springs, it's quiet, private and wild, with yurts tucked into the trees, a resident elk herd, and borders shared with Kootenay National Park and Nature Conservancy lands. The land and the established business are offered together, with the yurts, trails, brand, systems and loyal following all in place for the next owner. There are 11 yurts in total. Nine off-grid hike-in yurts sit along the mountainside, each with a wood stove, solar lighting, a composting toilet and a fire pit, ranging from a short stroll off the trailhead to The Nest and The Eyrie, with views across the Columbia Wetlands to the Purcells. The Warren and The Haven offer drive-up access. The Haven is the centrepiece: a 30' furnished glamping yurt with its own solar system, wood-burning fireplace, covered outdoor kitchen and private water. It opens onto a meadow with a stage, fire pit and 360° mountain views, and has hosted everything from intimate weddings to celebrations of 250 guests, plus an annual spring music festival. The sale also includes the retreat's operating base, to be relocated onto the property: an office, a storage building, a tractor with attachments and a 1,100-watt micro-hydro power system. Two gated highway entrances and a large, largely untouched land base leave a new owner room to live on site, grow the business and enjoy. (id:21947)
